What makes a good stage definition

  • Cover every audience your business serves. A stage that only describes one type of customer will misfire on the others.
  • Use cumulative signals: "the customer has shared a name AND asked about price" is stronger than either alone.
  • Add a "never step back" clause so the AI doesn't bounce a Hot Lead back down to New Lead on a quiet message.
